Template parts are <strong>included with block themes<\/strong> and are typically used on multiple templates across your site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you click on the <strong>Actions<\/strong> (ellipsis) button, you will see options to<strong> edit<\/strong> or <strong>duplicate<\/strong> that Template part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, you can edit the Template part by clicking directly on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/template_parts-1024x640.png\" alt=\"Template parts and their option\" class=\"wp-image-16365781\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/template_parts-1024x640.png 1024w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/template_parts-300x188.png 300w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/template_parts-768x480.png 768w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/template_parts-1536x960.png 1536w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/template_parts-2048x1280.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>My patterns<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first item in the Patterns section is <strong>My patterns<\/strong>. This section lists all the custom patterns you added to your site yourself. They can be filtered by <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/article\/reusable-blocks\/\"><strong>Synced<\/strong><\/a> or <strong>Standard<\/strong> (non-synced).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#e5f5fa\">If you have a lot of Patterns, the <strong>Command Palette<\/strong> is another great find them. Learn more about the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/article\/site-editor-command-palette\">Command Palette here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you click on the <strong>Actions<\/strong> (ellipsis) button next to each pattern, you will see options to <strong>Edit<\/strong>,<strong> Duplicate<\/strong>,<strong> Rename, Export as JSON<\/strong> or <strong>Delete<\/strong> that pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/my_patterns_options-1024x640.png\" alt=\"My patterns action menu\" class=\"wp-image-16365782\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/my_patterns_options-1024x640.png 1024w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/my_patterns_options-300x188.png 300w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/my_patterns_options-768x480.png 768w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/my_patterns_options-1536x960.png 1536w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/my_patterns_options-2048x1280.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can edit any pattern just by clicking on the pattern itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Theme patterns<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Underneath <strong>My patterns<\/strong>, you can find regular patterns that come bundled with your theme. These patterns <strong>cannot be edited directly<\/strong> (hence they are marked with a lock symbol). Instead, you can click on the <strong>Actions<\/strong> (ellipsis) button and click <strong>Duplicate<\/strong> to create an editable copy of that pattern. Patterns that come with a theme are locked and cannot be exported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To export a single pattern, go to <strong>Patterns &gt; My Patterns<\/strong>. Click the <strong>Actions<\/strong> (ellipsis) button next to the pattern. Select <strong>Export as JSON<\/strong>, which downloads the pattern as a .json file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To export multiple patterns, in My Patterns, select the box to check all patterns located at the bottom. And then click the <strong>Download icon<\/strong>. This downloads a .zip file containing .json files for each pattern chosen.Besides that, the box to check all patterns located at the bottom allows you to bulk <strong>Delete <\/strong>patterns as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/export_patterns-1024x640.png\" alt=\"Export patterns option showcased on single pattern and as a part of the bulk edit.\" class=\"wp-image-16365787\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/export_patterns-1024x640.png 1024w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/export_patterns-300x188.png 300w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/export_patterns-768x480.png 768w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/export_patterns-1536x960.png 1536w, https:\/\/wordpress.org\/documentation\/files\/2023\/08\/export_patterns-2048x1281.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Appearance Settings<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the top-right corner of the <strong>Patterns<\/strong> screen, just below the <strong>Add Pattern<\/strong> button, you\u2019ll find options to customize how patterns are displayed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first icon, <strong>Layout<\/strong>, lets you switch between grid and list views, depending on your preference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second icon, <strong>View Options<\/strong>, provides more detailed controls.
