This plugin connects to one external service to generate AI text content. No service is contacted until you click a “Generate” button.

- What is sent: the product title you entered, the selected task (
description,short_description,alt_text,seo_title, ortags), the selected tone (neutral,luxury,casual,tech), your site URL, and the plugin version. - What is NOT sent: customer data, order data, product images, prices, stock, payment details, or any personal information.
- When: only when you click a “Generate” button in the product editor.

The Synthocode API then forwards your request to OpenAI (https://openai.com) using a server-side API key managed by Synthocode. You do not need an OpenAI / ChatGPT account.

Installation
- Install from Plugins Add New and search for “Synthocode AI for WooCommerce”, or upload the zip via Plugins Add New Upload Plugin.
- Activate the plugin.
- Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active.
- Edit any product — the Synthocode AI Assistant box appears in the right sidebar.
- Enter a product title (if not already set), pick a tone, click Generate.

Do I need an OpenAI / ChatGPT API key?

No. The plugin proxies all generation requests through the Synthocode API — we handle the OpenAI billing for you. The free tier has a monthly quota; Pro removes the limit.

How does the free quota work exactly?

You get a fixed number of generations per month, reset on the 1st of each month. The count is stored locally on your WordPress site (no tracking). If you hit the limit, you can upgrade to Pro for unlimited generations.

Does this send my customer or order data anywhere?

No. Only the product title and chosen tone are sent to the Synthocode API. No customer data, no order data, no payment information is ever transmitted. See the “External Services” section for the full list of fields sent.

Does it work with non-English products?

Yes. The plugin currently sends
fr_FRanden_USlanguage hints to the AI. Other languages work too (the AI is multilingual) but quality is best in English and French. Full multilingual support (WPML / Polylang) is a Pro feature. -
Will this slow down my site?

No. The plugin only loads its admin assets inside the WooCommerce product editor for logged-in editors. It has zero impact on your store’s front-end performance.

Is WooCommerce required?

Yes. The plugin will display a notice and stay inactive without WooCommerce.
