My photography portfolio pages started of huge ~ 3-4 MB per page. With EWWW IO, my pages are all under 1 MB. I had to do a double-take at first. Unbelievable. Every time someone asks me what are my must-have plugins, EWWW Image Optimizer Cloud is the first one that comes out of my mouth. My issue is with “sizing” your site according to their billing criteria. It’s entirely unclear with the cloud version if it calculates the images correctly including the various thumbnails. The communication around the 99c monthly is also not clear as to what happens when that runs out can you buy more or do you now have to wait until the next billing cycle. Great options, works well. I especially like that it converts PNGs to JPGs, since PNG photographic images tend to be VERY large, while JPGs tend to be 10% the size of an equivalent PNG.
