I now think the issue of the disappearing button is more to do with WP than the plugin 5 stars previously now only 1. It no longer appears in the TinyMCE menu and with no choices to put it there. It does exactly what is advertised, gives you some basic control, and gives articles that small touch of dramatic, professional looking flair. My only issue (and it is tiny) is that on the home page where the list of most recent posts is, the articles are displayed as pictures with teaser text. The first character on all of my teaser texts is clipped off. I’m not sure if anything can be done about this. Definitely not a deal breaker, but it’d be nice to have it sorted out if possible. Here’a an example of its use: silentcinemasociety.org. The drop cap actually drops a bit lower than I’d like — the top of the cap should align with the top of the ascenders— but I can probably fix that in their css field, or upgrade to pro which is very inexpensive. A character closer to professional typography for WordPress!
