### 󠀁[Be very careful! This plugin will ruin your SEO by creating duplicate content](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/be-very-careful-this-plugin-will-ruin-your-seo-by-creating-duplicate-content/)󠁿

 [Truffledome](https://profiles.wordpress.org/truffledome/) September 25, 2017

We installed this on our work blog and after a couple of weeks I suddenly noticed
a large increase in duplicate titles in Webmaster tools. I soon realised to my horror
that the ?upm= extensions were not automatically set to ‘Noindex’ and that our entire
blog had effectively been duplicated or triplicated. After adding ‘Noindex’ to all
extensions this took months to recover from. It is absolutely astounding (and irresponsible
on the part of the plugin developers) that the default setting in UPM isn’t ‘Hide
from Search engines’ in fact, we can’t see why you would EVER want search engines
to waste crawl budget on all this duplicate content or why you would ever want it
indexed when by default it will always be a duplicate of the original post. USE
VERY CAREFULLY

Does the job perfectly for the most part, doc file seemed a bit off, had an obscure
additional column in it, probably something to do with my theme, maybe. I wish it
would do the same in bulk from the backend, I’ve got 30 books worth of text in there
and I can’t find a usable way to drag it out of there – just saying. 🙂 The potential
to perfect rating is there, just that it removes the paragraph tags from the output
file, making longer files a bit of a pain to read when saved in html or txt. The
pdf -file removes the edit and modified dates, which to me, are essential, but shows
the export date/time.

### 󠀁[Good, but with issues](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/good-but-with-issues/)󠁿

 [ghera](https://profiles.wordpress.org/ghera/) September 3, 2016

PDF exported file has “?” in text, instead of specific ROMANIAN characters, such
as “ă”, “ş”, “ţ”. (UTF-8 encoded in website). I posted this problem TWO MONTHS AGO
in support area and NO REACTION, SUGGESTION, ANSWER or SOLUTION came from creator.
Exporting pdf format produce a file without .pdf extension, so OS asks “open with…?”
MANY xhtml validation ERRORS due to code, fixed by myself. Anyway, a good one. If
upper minor aspects solved, the best!

Oh! Ultimately I found what I was looking for. Thanks a lot for this plugin and
keeping it free. It’s really easy to customize and use… especially for non-tech
bloggers like me. Just 1 query: while printing the file it leaves a header at the
top of every page, like… http://post_url/?upm_expo Is there any way to remove it?
Or, just move this at the bottom of the pages?
