If you’re looking for an easy custom WordPress search solution, you’ll need something else. Let’s see what’s missing and what you can achieve with VISeek. WordPress search system is limited, hard to customize, and doesn’t give you insights into what people are actually looking for. Out of the box, it only looks through post titles and content, ignoring custom fields, taxonomies, or product details. Results are often sorted by date instead of relevance, so the most useful content doesn’t always appear first. It also doesn’t handle typos, synonyms, or stop words well, which can lead to empty or inaccurate results. There are no built-in filters for categories, tags, or post types, and users have to reload a whole new page for every query since there’s no instant or live search. On top of that, WordPress doesn’t provide analytics on what people are searching for, making it hard to optimize content.
