This simple plugin allows you to display the contents of a text file as a widget, in any widgetized area provided by your theme (eg Sidebar)<\/p>\n\n
There are no configuration options for this plugin - all configuration (such as there is) is done by the widget settings.<\/p>\n\n
Only text is displayed - HTML is stripped out.<\/p>\n\n
End-of-line characters are displayed as HTML \\\"Breaks\\\"<\/p>\n\n\n
There are three possibilities:<\/p>\n\n
*Use the standard Wordpress Plugins > \"Add New\" procedure (Recommended)\nor<\/p>\n\n
*Download the plugin file from Wordpress.org and the Upload the Zip file<\/p>\n\n
Add Plugin > Upload<\/p>\n\n
or<\/p>\n\n
*Download the plugin file from Wordpress.org, then manually upload the unzipped folder (text-file-widget) into wp-content\/plugins<\/p>\n\n
Then<\/p>\n\n
*Activate the plugin<\/p>\n\n
Now there will be a \\\"text file widget\\\" in the Appearance>Widgets section. Drag this to a widget location, and tell it which file you want to display and what title to give it (or none)<\/p>\n\n
You can have multiple instances displaying different files.<\/p>\n\n\n
Why is HTML stripped out?<\/p>\n\n
This plugin is only intended to display text. Hence the name.<\/p>\n\n\n
