Issue with symbols in texturize

    I am having a number of issues that I believe are all somehow related to texturize. For example, if have the text ” industry’s ” in a post, it shows up in the entry field and in the preview as it should – ” industry’s ” , but when published it shows up in on my blog as ” industry’s “
    ” Accelâ„¢ ” shows up correctly while editing and previewing, but is displayed in my blog as ” Accelâ„¢ “
    I just upgraded to 1.2.1 , and have extensively edited my templates. Is it possible that I have lost a field or a command somewhere which is screwing up the way my call data from the database?

    Hmm. I’m using texturize without any problems, at this point. Have you deactivated texturize to see if that makes the problem ‘go away’? What version of texturize are you using?

    This is part of what I have been searching for – how do I deactivate texturize?
    I think the problem is that the symbols are coming in from text that I have copied and pasted, rather than from what I have typed. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find enough documentation about how texturize works to be able to troubleshoot.

    This may not be a texturize problem; it may be related to your document’s meta “charset” (ie, utf-8). Are these special characters being displayed differently in the source code when viewed in a text editor compared to what the browser is displaying?

    I copied directly from the browser and also from the source code for the page and pasted both into wordpad++ – in both cases worpad++ shows the unwanted symbols instead of the wanted one.

    How do I deactive texturizer, in a step-by-step fashion?

    I don’t have the time to figure out every include relationship to see where texturizer is, but you probably know.
