The 504 response means “gateway timeout”:
The server, while acting as a gateway or proxy, did not receive a timely response from an upstream server it needed to access in order to complete the request [https://httpstatuses.com/504]
From that, it seems that your setup is quite unusual, so perhaps your rating is not quite fair…?

I have a simple wordpress with a theme of Elegant Themes, no complexity.
I was the first surprised by this error but i didn’t succeed to install the plugin…
Ok. Perhaps it is your host who has an unusual setup. Can you tell me where it is hosted, and perhaps share your URL? Then hopefully, I can solve this. I must admit the scenario you describe is pretty bad….

It’s my preprod so,… i can’t give the URL i’m sorry
I do many tests like
– without htaccess
– without the option of no index (wordpress > options > reading)
– without any plugins
My Host is ovh shared hosting, so it’s basic.
After i clean my database i can access to my site but i can’t upload any media, i deleted the plugin and finally it works again… Very very strange
