One of my subscribers told me that he was using Google Podcasts to play back mine (the Small Market Radio Podcast), and the forward and reverse icons are grayed out. He does not have that problem with the other podcast on that platform. Can you help?

I looked up your show in the Google Podcasts app and can confirm that, for whatever reason, Google Podcasts has grayed out the forward/backward buttons for your show. I checked a couple other random shows, and they’re not having this issue.

I found a podcast feed for your show here:
    http://www.smallmarketradio.com/category/podcast/feed/

The feed validates fine, and there doesn’t seem to be anything immediately obviously wrong with your media files, etc.

I found your show’s listing in Apple Podcasts here:
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-small-market-radio-podcast/id1287998704?mt=2&uo=4

Where it loaded normally, and I had no issues skipping around in playback placement of your latest episode.

All I can deduce at this point is that there’s something weird happening with Google Podcasts. This is the first report I’ve seen of this behavior within that app. The app itself is still somewhat new, and I’m sure Google is still working out some bugs. Regardless, I’ll ask the Blubrry dev team to look at this thread and see if there’s something I’ve missed. A reply will be posted here as soon as possible.

    Hello @jayradioguy,

I double checked your latest episode as well as your feed, there is nothing that should be effecting playback. I believe Google Podcasts app is fairly new, it may be an internal bug with the application that is outside of your control.

    Thanks,
    Angelo
