In free version of the plugin slider is working only with prices.
In paid version you can use slider for attributes.

Ok cool, is there a demo of the full version with a range slider with custom attributes? I want to be sure it’s suitable first. Also can it take alphanumeric strings, or just numerical values?

Is that under Custom Taxonomy?
If they are using custom taxonomy it will work. If they are using post_meta it will not work.
Did you try our brands already – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/brands-for-woocommerce/ ?
They are working good with our filters.
