Submit attachment to external URL

Hi, Is there any chance to change the submit action to upload a file to an external URL or path? Our users have to create an .xml file and they need to submit it via the website form. This file should be sent to an external URL and a script on the URL validates the .xml file. So the question is, can I send the files the user uploads to an external URL on submit somehow?
