locked out my users

I installed the plugin to block out russian/chinese attack bots … I signed up on the website and downloaded the free lite database. Used it for about four days and it was blocking the bots, but then then received a complaint from a user in my own country (that I whitelisted in the plugin) who does not use a proxy (I verified personally). I didn’t believe it at first, so I deactivated the plugin and had them try again – presto, they were able to access the site.

What I expected with the ‘lite’ database was that some ip’s wouldn’t be in the database so I’d get leakage, but what I got instead was too many WRONG ip’s in the database. What’s frightening here is that my site is LOW traffic, and yet I quickly managed to block a user – a user that I know personally at that!!! What are the odds?

My suggestion DO NOT USE THIS PLUGIN UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO LOSE BUSINESS.
