    Hi there,

I have a client who has 3 different suppliers and need to configure the shipping appropriately, is this possible with WooCommerce please and if so how?

Client 1: 3 items that are collection only and paid upon collection

Client 2: 2 items which are expensive and offer free shipping

Client 3: Multiple products that has two different shipping costs one being 2.99 and one being 6.99 however, when adding 100+ in cost for both, they are free shipping, and only an initial cost of 2.99 or 6.99, any other item added on top from client 3 is included in the shipping cost, but when you have 1 item from 2.99 and one item from 6.99 how do I set it so it uses the 6.99 cost?

When you add items from all 3 clients into the cart it shows me shipping from all shipping types for a user to select which isn’t what I want (I think?). I hope this makes sense?

If I have to use a plugin on top to configure this, please advise if possible as this is the last part to get their website live and confusing me!

    Hi there,

It sounds like a pretty complicated setup indeed. Working through the details, am I right in saying you’d essentially like to configure/show individual shipping methods for each type of product (delineated by who the supplier is) rather than for the cart as a whole?

If that’s the case, you could look into the following:

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

Initially the client had a developer who did a bad job at gathering the clients requirements and just stuck everything as a single shipping setup and I’m just trying to fix this for a friend of my boss but this goes over my head so I appreciate the help.

Based on what you said, this seems like the way forward, using different shipping methods with a split cart (the packages addon). I believe the other two plugins for client 3 would work well, I’ll just have to figure this out.

Out of interest, for collection only items how is this handled when a client makes an order, do they just get an address in an email or something or do I need to modify a template?

    Thank you!

For local pickup, they’ll choose the “Local Pickup” shipping method during checkout and the assumption is that the customer will use the store address (found on the contact page as an example) to pick up their goods.

For more flexibility (e.g. multiple pickup addresses), you could look into using Local Pickup Plus.

In terms of guides, the following will come in handy:

    Hi there,

So far I’ve managed to configure the store to show the following using the WooCommerce Advanced Shipping Packages plugin:

Client 2: This ONLY shows free shipping as required.

Client 3: Using the Advanced Shipping plugin, I’ve made two flat rates of £2.99 and £6.99 and used shipping classes to assign which product goes to which price and adjusted it so that regardless of how many I add of each it will only list 1 x the flat fee, this seems fine for what we want.

Client #1 is what I am struggling with, when making this ‘Local pickup’ it shows the other shipping methods which I cannot seem to disable unless I’m overlooking something. All I want is these products to be pickup only, no other shipping methods.

I tried making a shipping class and adding these 3 products to local pickup only but it still shows the other shipping methods, any ideas please?

Further to the above, once I’ve managed to sort the local shipping, I looked at the other plugins you recommended for Client #3 to make both of these free shipping over £100 or combining both the shipping fees into a single 6.99 shipping cost when an item of each shipping class is added but the plugins from what I can see, does not do this unless I am just not understanding it.

    Thanks for any help!

As I cannot edit the post, apologies if this is not allowed as another reply.

The only thing left as I used Request a Quote for WooCommerce to handle Client #1 is configuring Client #3.

Based on what was discussed before, the store is currently setup with shipping classes and WooCommerce Advanced Shipping Packages with two separate flat rates for 2.99 and 6.99, the last thing I need to do is a way to combine these into the 6.99 shipping cost if a product from the 2.99 and 6.99 is in the cart, and then if the total items of these two packages is above £100, it gives them free shipping.

    Any help is appreciated!
