    Hi,

I have tried to follow your steps but the latest version seems to be different to your guide.

    – I installed the plugin
    – Saved the manual optimisation
    – A list of fonts were displayed (so this means the fonts are now locally hosted? I do not see any download button…)
    – I went ahead to add this code to functions file to remove all google fonts as I use Elementor:
    add_filter( ‘elementor/frontend/print_google_fonts’, ‘__return_false’ );

    – But upon loading the page all the fonts have changed to one type only and without any font weights…

    What did I miss?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi!

Which guide did you follow? Could you provide a link, cause I thought I updated all content 🙂

As for your issue, removing the code you added to your functions.php file should resolve your issue, however 🙂

After removing the code, empty your cache. Click Save & Optimize, and you’re done 🙂

Let me know how it goes!

    Hi Daan,

    I followed this post:
    https://daan.dev/wordpress/host-google-fonts-locally/

Alright, I deleted that script from functions.php file. Cleared the cache from OMGF plugin setting. Created the WP-Rocket cache as well.

Do I still need to do any additional steps to remove Google Fonts scripts?

Pfff, for a second there, I thought you had shared your admin credentials on a public forum! But it was only a URL! Phew! 😉

But no, OMGF is working great, as you can see in this screenshot. 🙂

    Enjoy! 😀

    Haha sorry mate.

Oh, I see. Awesomely simple to do with your latest version. I was expecting to do a lot more haha but you made it so simple with the plugin.

So the externally hosted Google fonts shall not put load on the website anymore?

No. OMGF made them *Poof!* disappear 😀

If you’d like to write a review, that’d be much appreciated. You can do so here.

Enjoy your locally hosted Google Fonts!
