Checkout without product option

We’re having an issue where customers can use the PayPal quick checkout option without selecting a variation, if one exists. Such as color, size, etc. This leads to getting orders that don’t specify details of certain products, where we need them. I’m not certain if this is a bug or if there’s an option to fix this where customers must choose a product option first, before they can use quick PayPal checkout.
