Confirm vs Activate

What are the differences between confirm and activate the user?
I get confuse by confirm the user he still unable to login, have to activate him.

“confirm” => user verification (self verify via link in email)
“activate” => manual admin approval (moderated registration)
Incidently, both of these are “optional” and neither is active by default. Best to review your settings vs the plugin documentation and make sure (1) you understand the settings you have enabled and what they do and (2) those settings make sense with what you want for the user experience. I don’t recommend just enabling settings because they’re there – make sure you know what they do first (https://rocketgeek.com/plugins/wp-members/docs/)
