Single dashboard for multiple blogs

    I’ve read the previous posts about multiple blogs running off one installation of WordPress. I think (but am not 100% sure) that these involve having a separate dashboard for each of the blogs.

    I’ve also figured out that by using themes and having a separate category template page set up for a particular category, it may be possible to make two different-looking outputs from the same dashboard. HOWEVER…. 😀

    Is there any way, or anything in the works, to allow someone to use a single dashboard to publish posts to blogs that are on different domains?

    My blog is at http://www.justsue.ca – I just recently finished installing WordPress there and getting rid of Movable Type. I also have a blog at http://rowlikeagirl.justsue.ca which I have previously been able to maintain by logging in to the same Movable Type installation. RowLikeAGirl is still powered by the old MT but I’d like to get it onto WordPress as well.

    Any suggestions?

    I have no suggestions. What you’re asking for is pretty much a multiple blog/single interface version of WordPress, and though there are hacks and workarounds to provide some of this (look here for possibilities), as an official WordPress release it just doesn’t exist yet.

    Hmm. Okay, so it’s not a feature yet. Then I may need some help with a workaround idea that I have.

    Since the “rowlikeagirl” blog is actually hosted as a subdomain of my regular blog domain, the files for that are all hosted in a subdirectory of the main account. Is there a way in WordPress to specify that you want to publish a particular category to a different directory on the same server?

    By the way, I simply love WordPress… just had to put in those good words.

    I notice that b2evolution has mutiple blogs from a single dashboard. It having the same DNA as WordPress, and being opensource, what is the possibility of incorporating their approach into WordPress?
