    Hello there,

We have specified the following title in the SEO-Title field:

“Frauenparkplatz: Drohen Sanktionen, wenn Männer dort parken?”

However, when you look at the HTML-structure of the respective page

    https://www.bussgeldkatalog.de/frauenparkplatz/

a completely different <title> is outputted:

<title>Wer darf auf einem Frauenparkplatz parken? - Bussgeldkatalog.de</title>

The string above matches the H1-Tag + the separator in combination with the domain name is added to the end. This pattern is shared with other pages, such as:

    https://www.bussgeldkatalog.org/kfz-zulassungsstelle-essen/

I have followed the instructions specified on this page:

    https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/

The issue appears regardless of Yoast being activated or not activated.

If the issue occurs when Yoast SEO is not active, this means our plugin is not causing the unexpected behavior. -> This seems to be the case, sadly..

Do you have any piece of advice advice on how can I proceed further into debugging this issue?

Thanks for following up, @roman17trushanov. It could be your theme since the issue happens regardless of whether Yoast SEO is activated or not. Can you switch from your current theme, Smart Passive Income Pro, to a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Twenty-Two or Twenty Twenty-Three?

Do let us know how it goes.

    Hello Maybelline,

I did switch to the old good Twenty-Twenty as suggested by the guide you recommended to me: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/

The issue persists. Switching to Twenty-Twenty does not solve the issue, regardless of Yoast being active/not active.

Can you try those other themes I mentioned also? Let’s see if that makes a difference.

So, I tried again with Twenty Twenty-Three. Deactivated all the plugins. The problem still persists.

When I activate only Yoast in the troubleshooting mode, there is a tiny difference in the HTML output:

    without yoast

<title>Wer darf auf einem Frauenparkplatz parken? & #8211; (without the extra space at the beginning) Bussgeldkatalog.de</title>

    with yoast

<title>Wer darf auf einem Frauenparkplatz parken? – Bussgeldkatalog.de</title>

But, in principle, the two tags are the same. & #8211; (without the extra space at the beginning) is indeed the same as –

Do you have any other ideas regarding the debugging of this issue?

    Best,

    Roman
