Hi Andy,
It makes no difference if you connect using WP Data Access or another tool. Your credentials are the same. But your source IP address can make a difference if your username is configured to access from multiple IP addresses. You can use the following query to check:
select * from information_schema.users
Does this help?
Peter
I have found the same problem. Here is what the tests states (I have cut an pasted from your output when I clicked “Test”). It says “Found 0 tables”.
Preparing connection…
Establishing connection…
Connection established…
Counting tables…
Found 0 tables on remote host…
Remote database connection valid!
Then when I save it and try to access it, I get: “ Remote database rdb:natur170_wsd not available“

In addition, because the test is ok then the saved version says the database is not available, then I can’t delete the database connection in your system. I have to completely remove the wordpress site to get ride of it and reinstall your plugin.

It seems to be working now! 20 years ago I made a very complicated set of php files to access this database. It needs a new interface. I am hoping this will work.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the screenshots.
Could you send us a connection test of your remote database?
To test your remote connection, go to WP Data Access > Settings > Plugin > Scroll down to “Remote database connections” > Click the pencil icon on the right > Click on Test. See here: https://share.zight.com/OAuNlE2y
Regarding your second screenshot, this looks like you’re designing a table using the Data Designer.
Creating a table using Data Designer has two steps, designing the table and creating the table.
We have a short demo here: https://share.zight.com/bLuQGK0r
Hope this helps! Let us know how it goes. 🙏

We look forward to your response.
