    Hi,
I have some serious problems with CodekitPro. It used to work fantastisch without problems. But I guess with the latest update I have some problems.

    1. Editing the custom code item gives a fatal error. (no errors on screen when debug=true + no errors in de server logs).
    2. Enabling the non-pro version does solve the problem. But I need the pro features like conditional page code.

I’m using php 8.3 with 512Mb php limit on a litespeed server.

For now I disabled all plugins. So only codekitpro is enabled. Also the default 2025 wordpress theme is active. But Still I can’t edit the custom codes.

    Can you please help?

    Regards,
    Norman

I’m using version 2.3.92. Is it possible to download a previous pro version? So I can test?

I just figured out that I can download a previous version on freemius.com. Installing 2.3.9 did not change anything.
Now I discovered. That I had to use these settings:

    max_execution_time: 60 (in stead of 30)

    max_input_time: 120 (in stead of 60)

Now I can edit the custom again. But I take ages to load this custom code (just a post right?).

Is this normal? Can you explain why that is?

Hi @normanwebchimp, it doesn’t look normal. While you’re saving, are there any PHP custom script that can cause this? And, can you please also check what makes it slow using Query Monitor?

    Hi Bilal,

I just installed Query Monitor (Codekit and Query Monitor are now the only ones active). This is what I see. It looks like Codekit is querying all posts.

    Hi Bilal,

This is what I see in Query Monitor (see link). So only Query Monitor and Codekit is active right now. The rest is plain WordPress with a default 2025 theme.

Now I deleted all Codekit posts. So no custom php is enabled. But when I create a new post I still getting the same issue with this long loading time.

    Thanks @normanwebchimp.

I’m unable to see the whole query there. Can you please copy and paste here if there isn’t anything confidential in it?

And, is it a clean installation or did you remove everything in a used installation to test?

    Thread Starter normanwebchimp

    (@normanwebchimp)

    Hi Bilal,

This is the complete query πŸ™‚ This is not a clean installation. But the website is very large and I spend a week to build it again. Therefor I hope you can pin point what the problem is. It’s only happening on Codekit items. Pages, posts etc are fast and loads without any problems.

Can you give me a sign If you don’t need the access on the website anymore? Than I can shut it down as this is public. (I did remove all sensitive info though).
