New User Login

I have asked a couple of people to become Guest Authors on a couple of Blogs I run… got an email stating that when this person tries to login with the emailed username and password that they get an error message that reads: “Sorry, but you have no permissions to change settings.” Now I then set up my own new account, with the username: bruced and the password: AkubbEW2gLkc I got the same message… Now what in the heck is going on??? I am not all that advanced in WordPress so any help will be appreciated. I do not want to lose these people as Guest Authors so I really need your help.
