MultiSite Subfolder Site Act as root / site.

    Hi All, Good evening.

    These days i finaly make MultiSite Network with SubFolders to work on my WordPress, i make it work, i can create sites http://mydomain.com/site1 http://mydomain/site2 but after create 1 subfolder site i need to make it work as Root site, i want site2 for example to work on root domain mydomain.com .

    I did a lot of research and i joined into IRC WordPress channel too to find a solution but i didnt find an answer.

    I found wordpress so flexible and i think i can make it work, i can access both of my multi sites..

    mydomain.com <—- /var/www (here is my min content)
    mydomain.com/site1 <—- i create it from the multisite wordpres dashboard
    mydomain.com/site2 <—- i create it too from multisite wordpress dashboard but i want to make it work when someone hit my root domain “/” http://mydomain.com/

    Sorry for disrupting you by writing all this stuff hope to find a solution.

    Put a theme on maindomain.com that redirects to /site2/.

    I am really Appriciate your answer..
    As i read on many threads you have gave the solution so you gave me hope for not saying “that cannot be happen”..

    I am new on WordPress but i have ready many documentions but i cannot understand how to set that you saying..

    What kind of theme is that ?
    Any guide for that would be great.

    You’d make your own theme. Any theme, just put whatever redirection code you have in the body of the theme itself. The rest of the theme is irrelevant, as long as you do no use it on another other site in the network.

    Andrea i am using a theme that i have Create with the artiser, all Multisite Network using the same theme.

    in http://mydomain.com i have the main Installation of the WordPress and i have setup SubFolder Multisites, i create 2 Sites at the locations:

    http://mydomain.com/site1
    and
    http://mydomain.com/site2

    and i need to set site2 to be Alive in the web root directory at the http://mydomain.com and i dont care if the Main Site isnt working 🙂
