    once i’ve installed wordpress into http://www.mydomain.com/blog can i change the directory name and alter some config file to get wp working again?

    Basically can I rename the dir and get wp working again without a reinstall.

    Yes, you will have to change two values in your database. See: http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/

    Yes.

    Login, click Options.
    See the two URL’s ? Change BOTH to what you want
    then
    move the files on the server to where you want
    then
    log back in 🙂

    Oops, I always like to do things that hard way. Heh … Follow Podz’ instructions if you have not changed the directory name yet. If you have already changed the directory name, then follow the link that I provided above.
