    Hi there,

Having started with WPMU 2.9 (or something like that) I am taking care of a blog network (aroung 20 blogs). Now I am with WP 3.3.1 and both my self-developed theme as well as the number of plugins evolved over time.

I recently noticed that permalinks cannot be changed any longer (this probably may be an issue for quite a while now). This is the case for every blog on the network. I am totally puzzled where and how to start with debuging since this is a productive system. I already deactivated the plugin “WP Super Cache” and did a reset on .htaccess without success.

Any ideas are welcome. Thanks 🙂

Installed Plugins (not all everywhere activated):
    – Akismet
    – emObA
    – Flickr Gallery
    – Gravity Forms
    – Image Banner Widget
    – MapPress Easy Google Maps
    – Twitter Tools
    – Twitter Tools – Bit.ly URLs
    – WP-Mail-SMTP
    – WP-Piwik
    – WP Super Cache
    – YouTube widget

    MU-Plugins:
    – CETS Simple Dashboard
    – WordPress MU Domain Mapping

You can’t change them on ANY site?

Can you test with the TwentyEleven theme?

Indeed, it was my theme :-/. The evildoer was:

    remove_meta_box( 'slugdiv', 'post', 'normal' );

All I wanted to do was to make this unnecessary/duplicate slug field invisibly. I did not know that it was essential for functionality. Thanks :-).
