Link to user profile

I’m sorry if this question been posted here before. But I’ve tried the search function without any progress.

However. I’m looking for a function that will show the user profile. Like this: “>silfver.

If I type ?author=1 it only shows the archive for chosen user. That’s not what I want. But maybe there is no template to show the info the users have written in their profiles?

Help is much appreciated.
