You need to put all of your files back in the wp2 directory and follow the instructions here – http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory#Using_a_pre-existing_subdirectory_install
Or, leave your files in the root directory and go to your database and run a sql statement that will change your url in your database from http://vpod-bildungspolitik.ch/wp2 to http://vpod-bildungspolitik.ch
I did pull all the files back into the wp2 directory
But I can’t access the admin panel anymore.
I think that you must have change the urls in the settings then?
If so, you need to go to your phpMyadmin, go to your wp_options table and change them back.
I then also copied all the files into wp3 and reinstalled WP and the theme.
But of course all the posts and settings are not linking.
I did change the wp2 option setting back to wp2 – to no avail
I don’t see that reflected in your source code.. You might need to hire someone to fix that for you. If that’s an option, go to jobs.wordpress.net
Yes – I made a hard copy onto my hard drive, before I moved my files to the root.
After it did not work out I copied it back to wp2. This did not work neighter and I replaced the content of the wp2 directory with my copy – A big mistake I know now.
Is there any way for me to fix this? This job is a favor for a charity and I don’t have a budget to hire someone.
OK sorry for the confusion.
You were right, and I was able to fix it.
Thanks!
