dashboard toolbar missing

I haven’t logged onto my blog in a few months and I just went on to post and my dashboard toolbar is missing. I don’t know how to even investigate the problem without a dashboard and I don’t remember what theme I’m using. When I press the home button, I see the wordpess blog and wordpress news. That’s it! The only other option in the side toolbar is my profile.
