When you edit an event, the category switcher is in the same place in the edit screen as it is when you add a new event – near the bottom of the first section of event fields.

hey, we can see all screen plguin.. but apparently can see any option to manage/add/edit category. You´ve the left side one menu saying category…
It looks like you may have categories disabled in the event input settings. Go to My Calendar Settings > Event Input and check whether the option to “Show Event Category Field” is checked.
