Adding a new text field

Hello:

I want to add an extra text field between the Page Title and Page Content. I know this sounds silly but I really do need it for formatting reasons and I tried to add it my self and I could, partially, I couldn’t make it work all the text written in that new field wouldn’t show up in the page.

Is there a plug in that can help me out? I haven’t found one.
