• Hi,

i am using wordpress 3.6.1 dutch, i installed your plugin and tried to use the ‘feed to post’ option the plugin offers but i can’t get it to work.

i keep getting the following message when i press click to fetch feed now:

‘There was a problem with fetching feeds. This is likely due to a settings problem or invalid feeds.’

the feed that i am trying to use is from a computer news site and this is the rss link i am using: http://nl.hardware.info/updates/news.rss

i have tried to find a answer into the other posts but i can’t seem to find my answer in one of them.

Here is your feed running on my public site…with no problems

when you get a message, that means (if the problem doesn’t happen on other servers), that there is a problem with your server that is likely blocking that feed.

Here is more you can read about this:

Thank you for the response Allen,

i have seen the feed working on your site and did read the instructions on the link you provided. So know i now that it is a problem with my server, but how can i fix this?

    – do i need to install a plugin for simplepie?
    – is it a rights matter?
    – ….?

i am hosting my website on my own server so i could change some options if needed. but the information provided, only concludes that something on my server isn’t working but no suggestion on how to fix this.

    maybe you have some suggestions?

first, I’d make sure you can read other rss feeds…..you can also put dumpthis=”1″ as a parameter in the shortcode, which will output an array of the rss feed, if it exists…if the array is NULL, that means it can’t be read….simplepie is included in WordPress so there is no reason to download it.
