I recently installed WordPress on my site kevindooley.net in the public_html directory, as I want it to be the main webpage. I am using the Orange Crush theme and have swapped out some graphics and changed the colors in the css directory. Other than that I haven’t touched the code. I have two plugins installed and running, one for widgets and the other is a “read more” plugin, but this problem started before the plugins were installed.

The problem is this, whenever I click to go to any other kind of page (other than the comments pop-up) I get a blank page. And I don’t mean the blank page problem where you have the html and body tags and nothing else… I mean blank. View Source shows a completely blank source code. When I click to go to a page, it tries to find it in a file directory that includes the date, however this directory structure does not exist in any form…

    Anyone have any ideas??

I don’t believe this statement. The permalink structure is set by the admin in the admin panel > Options > Permalinks.
I assume you are the admin… so you are the one who did set this “directory structure”.
Check your htaccess file and read

Well, we’re one step closer… apparently I need to set up some directories for permalinks. Good to know.

No. Wrong. You do not need to set up any physical directories. Just read once again what I wrote…

I got it! I had to change the permissions for.htaccess and let wordpress change my permalink preferences. Once I did that everything worked peachy keen. Thanks for the help moshu.

Sorry to take up time and space, but I really had no idea what was causing the problem. Thanks!
