Additional information corresponding to custom post types?

I would like to know if there’s a plugin for this situation:

In WP admin I have custom post types. These “posts” are basically database entries.
Right under the title of the posts page, I would like to add widgets that for example count the sum of a certain column in a certain month.

Any ideas are appreciated.
