NextGEN Gallery Version 2.0.40 Not working

    Hello,

    I have been having a problem for a while now. Since August really. I can seem to find out why it isn’t working right. I believe it was from an update I did that somehow caused my galleries from working.

    I have my albums & galleries all set up but when I click on a album it doesn’t show any pictures but reverts back to the gallery page. It used to work with this [nggalbum id=49 template=extend] code but for what ever reason it doesn’t work any longer. I have deactivated all my plugins and it still does not work.

    Any information on how to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    WordPress up to date? Yes
    – NextGEN up to date? Yes
    – What version of NextGEN Gallery did you upgrade from? (i.e. I had 1.9.8, then upgraded to 1.9.12)Whatever was good in July.

    Additional information that will help us find a solution:
    – Who are you hosted with? Go Daddy
    – What theme are you running? Mediascene
    – Which plugins do you have installed and activated? Currently just NextGen Gallery & Attachments
    – Does this error still occur if you switch your theme to the WP default, and deactivate all plugins except NextGEN Gallery? (*be sure to clear your browser cache and reload your site after deactivating) Yes

    @whussappi – As a GoDaddy subscriber, you may be suffering from a very common issue with that service … please ensure you are not using the default standard Permalinks structure. I would recommend something such as “Post name” or “Month name” instead.

    See if that sorts out the issue you are seeing.

    Hi,

    I tried changing the Permalinks with no results. I can however use the slide show feature but the albums do not work.

    @whussappi, it looks like you are trying to use NGG inside another portfolio system given by your theme, a premium theme that should give support.
    And it’s no wonder to me if a NGG shortcode no longer works in a theme full of an hundred shortcode.
    Try to activate for test a WP default theme and make a NGG gallery on a page, and I think it will works.

    ive been having problems with the latest as well, everything seems like its working but then the wp-admin end ends up looking extremely funky and makes everything difficult to read/work on.

    At the moment i am using the older next gen, because it doesnt make my admin end look funky but my gallery is all glitched out, vise versa with the new version, glitched out admin and working gallery… 🙁
