Excerpt in Widget, 'read more' in content doesn't work

The widget uses the same function as the shortcode/template tag to output testimonials. So anything you do to the widget will affect other instances of the plugin.

You can use add_post_type_support to add support for excerpts as a starting point, this is going to require a little customisation though. Remember to use a child theme when making these customisations 🙂
