I just updated jetpack and it said the update was successful, but then when I went back to the list of plugins there was a message that a file was missing and the plugin was deactivated. Now I can’t find it and can’t reinstall (says it’s already installed). Please help!

    Howdy,

You’ll need to delete the /wp-content/plugins/jetpack directory from your server using FTP or your hosting provider’s control panel. Your hosting provider’s support documentation or support folks can help you access this.

What happens is, for some reason, your server failed during the extract process, resulting in the half an update.

Thank you, it’s all working now!
