I am experiencing an issue where each attendee is receiving approximately 30-40 duplicate event reminder emails, rather than just a single reminder email 1 day prior to an event. Is there a possible cause or resolution for this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

can I know what is your current EM version? and are you using EMpro ?

We are using EM version 5.5.3.1 and EM pro. Looks like it could possibly be a server side issue with our hosting provider. It’s possible that while sending the email reminder, the connection got lost and ended up in a loop, so it kept on sending the mail.

That’s a likely explanation. The best way to get round the problem is usually to use a “real” cron to send emails, rather than rely on the built-in WP Cron that comes with WordPress.
