Posts losing custom fields

    Hi, since WP 2.1, tested on WP 2.1.2 also, some posts lose their custom fields. I use them for storing META description and keywords with Another WordPress Meta Plugin.

    Last night I updated to 2.1.2 and added keywords and descriptions again for all posts that were missing them. They are stored as custom fields.

    24h later two posts have lost them again. They were the posts getting comments.

    I’d appreciate any help resolving this one …

    Are you using the Ultimate Tag Warrior plugin? This was a known issue with that plugin and 2.1.x a while back. Go over and download the absolute latest version of UTW to fix this problem.

    If you are not running UTW, then it may be some other plugin causing it. Verify that you have the latest versions of all your plugins.

    I’m using and authoring Another WordPress Meta Plugin. In the plugin I’m using add_post_meta() to store the data and get_post_meta() to retrieve it.

    How can a plugin cause the loss of custom field data? I’m curious what UTWs problem was …
