• I can’t find another problem quite like mine in the forums and I’m hoping someone can help me. I’m not super tech savvy so here’s what I’ve done.

I installed the newest version of WordPress several days ago and everything has been working fine. However, my site is massive and I’ve found another theme that will help me make it lighter. I can install themes in my theme page. I can even see it when I try to customize. When I activate the new theme, I can customize it on my dashboard. I have access to the theme customization, widgets, ect.

But when I go to fanofstuff.com it still shows my old theme with no changes. My old theme is Ari and the new one I’m trying to install is Reizend. This also means I don’t have access to change my ads or anything in the sidebar. What is happening?

  • I’m seeing the site with Reizend right now. I also see that you’re running Yoast. Whenever you do some sort of design or development work on your site, you should temporarily disable Yoast or any plugins which have a caching feature. What happens is that the cache will have an old copy of your web site so it doesn’t have to reload everything each time, so you have to disable the cache so you can see the effects of your new code/theme.

You’re right! Once I uninstalled my plugins and played with it I was able to see it again. Now I can see the theme and make changes. Thank you!
