Here is the code in question. Sorry about using wrong marks to negate code.
    <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=UTF8&amp;keywords=cruise%2C%20cruises%2C%20cruise%20travel%2C%20&amp;tag=yourcruiyourw-20&amp;index=books&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325">Learn How To Cruise</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=yourcruiyourw-20&amp;l=ur2&amp;o=1" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />
How do you keep the & as &amp; in widget etxt is the question.

Your second code posts fine in my text widget, has a good link and on reopening the $amp; are still correct.

Perhaps your changes are not being saved.

Actually the problem is when the & is in a URL. It won’t validate transitonally when i use these for my ads
