Search is not native to Job Manager however, we have worked with quite a few excellent plugins that provide added benefit and feature enhancement to Job Manger. For search we recommend using Ultimate WP Query Search Filter
Category: Pretty flexible, you can categorize jobs by industry.
Here is an example site using Category for Type and additional search criteria with Location. This also uses the WPQSF.
Be sure to check out our list of additional recommended plugins.
Thanks for your response. Any plans to include an auto respond to applicants who apply? I noticed this isn’t currently a feature, but would be very handy for our organization. Is there a way to manually code this in using PHP?
Yes I agree Auto response would be nice, it’s on the list. Can’t say as to when it will be released, as we are working on a new framework.
If you can come up with an easy implementation for an Auto Responder email and your handy at coding PHP, we sure would provide yo credit for it. The code base is available.
Developers can contribute to the source code on our Bitbucket repository.
You do know you can email applicants from the back-end ?
Thank you for your response. Unfortunately I am not an expert with PHP, and would not be comfortable trying to add that functionality myself!
I am aware that candidates can be emailed from the backend, however our organization receives so many applicants on a daily basis that it would become very time consuming to email them all with a confirmation.
Looking forward to this feature in the future, in the meantime we may need to choose another plugin. Thank you!
Certainly your prerogative – Thanks for checking us out.
