Internal pingbacks issue

I enabled:

[] Attempt to notify any blogs linked to from the article (slows down posting.)

and now if I refer to my other posts on the same blog, I get a pingback and a talkback entry shows in the comments. Is it possible to prevent this from happening?

I still want pingbacks to other blogs work.

Ideally, I think there should be a sub-option:

[] but don’t pingbacks to other posts on this blog
