• Since, updating to WordPress 4.4.1 I am unable to update plugins automatically.

    I am also unable to update bleeding edge WordPress, as well.

    I would like to know if I am the only one getting the issue or is it multiple people have gotten the issue.

  • First try deactivating plugins then try again.

    If not, then consider increasing the amount of memory allocated to PHP.

    If not that, then you may need to loosen file permissions
    ——————–
    Methods for increasing the amount of memory a PHP script may consume

    1. If you have access to your PHP.ini file, change the line in PHP.ini
    If your line shows 32M try 64M:
    memory_limit = 64M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (64MB)

    2. If you don’t have access to PHP.ini try adding this to an .htaccess file:
    php_value memory_limit 64M

    3. Try adding this line to your wp-config.php file:
    define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’64M’);

    4. Talk to your host.

    Hi @wptit,

    I have looked at my php.ini file, and my MEMORY LIMIT is 128M
    Current Version of PHP I am using PHP7.0.0
    Platform MAC

    Tried Deactivating Plugins.
    For Permissions, the plugins show that my username is read and write
    For Admin is read only

    What else could i be missing?
