Using mail on a Windows 2003 server system

    Hi,
    I have installed WP 2.3 successfully and most seems to work OK, but on creating a new user they get created properly, I can see them in the users database and it says that a confirmation email has been sent.
    The email never arrives and if I try to retrieve the password I get :-
    “The e-mail could not be sent.
    Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function…”

    Can anyone offer any suggestions, I’ve read a lot of posts saying theres often problems installing on a Windows box (my own server as it happens), resources or solutions would be very welcome.
    Have already checked the php.ini file which seems to be OK.

    Steve, have you found a fix? I’m suffering the same problem.

    The weird part is, I’m getting emails as the admin, saying that the user has signed up but the user isn’t getting their email and they get the error mentioned above when they try to retrieve the lost password.
