I was wondering if there’s a way I could use the functionality of this plugin to color other elements on a single event page according to category — for example, making my event title, an <h3>, change color to match the category.

Any tips appreciated!

Can you point to a page in question? I’ll have to look at the page source to see if a solution is possible.

The plugin is designed to use The Events Calendar’s generated page markup. The event page doesn’t have category class tags needed for coloring. If/when they have it this will be supported.

You might try making a feature request with Modern Tribe.
