    With the PRO version it is, BUT no coupon can be applied on a empty cart. Thus the user must have any item in the cart for the coupon to validate.

    It is possible though to create a link http://www.shop.com/cart/?apply_coupon=free-item that will apply the coupon and once any product is in the cart the free item will be added. Try demo.soft79.nl/cart/?apply_coupon=free-single
