• Hi there,

Thank you for the plug-in. I’ve added your plugin today and trying to add a new member. After I create a member, the following messages come up.
Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /home/cqshs/cqshs.farm/wp-content/plugins/membership/app/controller/class-ms-controller-member.php on line 370

Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::save() in /home/cqshs/cqshs.farm/wp-content/plugins/membership/app/controller/class-ms-controller-member.php on line 373

    Thank you.

  • Hey there BNKSMILE,

    How are you doing today?

Are you by any chance trying to add yourself or another admin user to specific membership? If that’s the case this happens because users with admin capabilities are having access to all membership regardless of them not actually being members, so please try adding another user instead.

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    Hi Bojan,

I was trying again this morning by adding a new member with new username and email address but failed to save. This user just for testing is not another admin user as you assumed. I added from admin backend panel. The following errors occurred again.

Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /home/cqshs/cqshs.farm/wp-content/plugins/membership/app/controller/class-ms-controller-member.php on line 370

Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::save() in /home/cqshs/cqshs.farm/wp-content/plugins/membership/app/controller/class-ms-controller-member.php on line 373

    Thank you.

Hello BNKSMILE, I hope you are doing well!

I can’t reproduce the same on my installation. It looks like there is a conflict with another plugin when you trying to add a member.

Please deactivate all other plugins, leave only the Membership 2 and try to adda member again. If you still got this error, switch to a default WordPress theme ( Twenty Sixteen for example) and try again.

If everything is well, activate one plugin at a time to find the one that causes this.

Follow the flowchart from our Getting Support manual:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/using-wpmu-dev/getting-support/

Let us know how it went!

    Cheers,

    Hi the support team,

Thank you for getting back to me. Here I got the messages after I deactivated all plug-ins except Membership 2 and activated Twenty-Sixteen.

Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /home/symbiosi/public_html/cqshs.farm/wp-content/plugins/membership/app/controller/class-ms-controller-member.php on line 370

Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::save() in /home/symbiosi/public_html/cqshs.farm/wp-content/plugins/membership/app/controller/class-ms-controller-member.php on line 373

I noticed that the users that have been added were recorded as if I added the same user name it defaulted that the user name has been taken. So I changed to a new user name and created new email address for that dummy user.

    I am using WordPress 4.5.3.

    Hello BNKSMILE,

As Bojan has mentioned before, this error shows up when you try to add a user with administrator user role inside the Membership. So this sounds strange when you say that you are adding a subscriber.

Would you please contact with us through our contact page here, so we could see what we can do for you.
