Google Doc Embedder cron job?

Hello,

I had an internal server IP blocked and that caused the GDE not to display a PDF. Unblocking got things going again. My question is: why is the IP hitting my server hard with a cron job with string “wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron=”?
