For some reason CRP adds an extra S into linked posts, resulting in flawed suggestions and links. I have no HTTPS posts on my websites, only HTTP. I manually have to enter each post, delete the CRP bit and update the post.

That is indeed weird. Is this the images that are linked differently or the actual links? The plugin only uses get_permalink which is an inbuilt WordPress function.

Seemingly both, and it appears to be happening quite by random.
Here is a link to post which somehow has been equipped with https links.
This link works fine – for the time being.

    Hi,

I’ve realised the problem. If you check this link: https://www.norge.sandalsand.net/hvordan-forsta-jaerkysten/ you’ll see that it works although it gives a SSL error which means that potentially search engines or something or someone else are arriving on this page.

If you don’t have HTTPS, then you should disable this on your server. Another option is to disable the CRP cache, but in this case I suggest having a good caching plugin like WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache

I don’t really understand what you mean in the first paragraph.

As to the second I disabled the CRP cache, and this seems to resolve the problem on the post I referred to. I do use W3 Total Cache.

It remains to be seen if the problem occurs again, on other posts.

    Thank you so far.

What I meant was that I can access your site via a https although it gives an incorrect certificate error.

Without the CRP cache, the posts are generated live but W3TC should cache the page separately.

So, if I disable the CRP cache the page will take longer to load?

Yes it will most likely as there are more mySQL lookups needed that will take a bit more time. It’s worthwhile testing this to see how long.
Another option to speed up is disable the option for comparing content as well.

The best option though is to either properly disable the access to your site using https or installing a SSL certificate for it.
