• Hi,

I’ve been asked to have a look at an email facility on a site with a view to fixing some issues. The problem is, I can’t quite figure out what plugin is being used!

Sounds silly I know, but when I look at installed Plugins the only one relating to Email is PSC Email Users (Version 1.0.0, By PHP Smash Code, and described as “Allows the site users to send an e-mail to the blog users.”). When I click the ‘Visit Plugin Site’ link on that plugin, it brings me here: http://phpsmashcode.com/ – I don’t see any plugin there. Or when I search for a “PSC Email Users” plugin (in another site, just to try and play around with it) I can’t find anything by that name.

There is an entry in the left column, Email Users, with three menu items: Email Users, Manage and Settings. ‘Manage’ shows a page called Manage Branch, and lists users who are set up with a role of Branch Administrator. (There is a User Role Editor plugin installed, and there are 10 Branch Administrators set up. The point of it is that Branch Admins can only email members of their own branch.)

Three features that they want with the email facility is:
    1. To be able to email all current members 1200 max. (and non-members/lapsed members separately if required), all together and by Branch. The main administrator also needs to be able to email all members. However the Branch Admins need to be able to access and email their Branch members only.
    2. The main admin would like to be able to view a list of members (& lapsed members) easily.Branch Admins need to be able to view their Branch members only. Ideally alphabetically!
    3. Be able to send attachments in emails.

I want to install the email plugin on my own site to try and get a better understanding of it but as I can’t figure out what the plugin is, it’s pretty hard! (Or I could install a different one on theirs if someone can recommend one that would cover the three points above)

Thank you so much for any help!!

    WP.
